The district is proud to offer the following programs to our community:

SAT Prep Class

Is your NPHS student taking the SAT this year? Our Community Education program is offering an SAT prep class during the fall semester. This class is designed to help improve the SAT scores of those students who plan to take the NEW SAT during the 2018-9 school year.

This class will meet from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at New Palestine High School on September 17, 18, 19, 20. Cost of the class is $25 per student. The class will be limited to 30 students, so early registration is encouraged. Registration forms may be picked up in the NPHS main office Guidance Department. Completed forms and fee payment are to be turned in to the main office.

Fall Exercise Class

New Palestine High School’s Community Education Program is pleased to announce that Greenfield resident Stacey Poe will be leading fitness classes again this fall.

Stacey has over twenty years of combined dance and fitness experience and is excited to be a part of this Community Education program. She plans to incorporate the popular Zumba Fitness, as well as Zumba Toning, and her newest certification in Pound Fitness, which uses weighted drumsticks (Ripstix) for an amazing workout. Students get to pretend they are rock stars!

Students will experience the auditory aspect of “playing” with the music and the physical aspect of working every muscle in the body.  All of these classes work the entire body in a fun, “forget you’re exercising” kind of way!  Students will build strength and flexibility in the body and camaraderie with others in this class.  Bring a friend or make new ones to help keep you motivated.

This class meets on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the New Palestine High School cafeteria. The first class will be held on Monday, August 6, and class continues until Monday, December 10 for a total of 32 nights.  The cost for the session is $80.00 per individual for the 32-night session. Fee payment will be on the first night of the class.

For information, please contact Lee Collier, Program Director at lcollier@newpal.k12.in.us.  Class size is limited to the first 35 participants.
